The Best Yoga Playlists for Every Style of Flow

yoga playlists by gecko yoga

Yoga is more than a physical exercise—it's a journey into the mind, body, and spirit. Music, when thoughtfully curated, can act as a powerful companion on this journey, enhancing your practice and deepening your connection to each moment.

The right playlist can help set the bhava—the mood or essence—of your space, transforming an ordinary session into a soulful experience.

Whether you're flowing through a vigorous Vinyasa, grounding yourself in a restorative Yin practice, or finding stillness in meditation, music can be a bridge that connects your movements and breath to an intentional energy.

In this post, we'll share some of our favorite yoga playlists, curated by our resident yoga teachers!

Our 7 Favorite Yoga Playlists for Any Practice

1. Yoga Flow

The vibe: A timeless yoga playlist for any type of flow.

Best for: Hatha, or a low-tempo vinyasa yoga class.

2. Sunrise Flow

The vibe:  A playlist that rises like the sun, starting with soft drones that crescendo into lively techno beats and cycle back down to a slow and sweet finish.

Best for: Morning practices that start slow and build.

3. Goddess Flow

The vibe:  A playlist inspired by the goddesses and divine feminine energy.

Best for: Bhakti or goddess-themed sequences.

4. Groovy Flow

The vibe:  A juicy playlist that mixes classical sanskrit and modern jams, with some groovy guitar riffs.

Best for: An fluid and funky yoga flow.

5. Vinyasa Flow

The vibe:  Uptempo with a steady rhythm and a sweet savasana ending.

Best for: Vinyasa classes and dynamic flows

6. Yoga Beats

The vibe:  For those who like some untz-untz with their chaturangas.

Best for: Power yoga

7. No Music

The vibe:  Music can enhance a yoga practice, but it shouldn't overpower it. Sometimes, the best rhythm is the sound of your own breath. Try it out, and notice if you find yourself more in-tune with the inner experience, or easily distracted.

Best for: All styles of yoga, meditation.
