There’s a common misconception that being “good” at yoga means being very flexible or skilled at handstands.

But the physical poses, or asanas in Sanskrit, are only a small part of what it means to practice yoga. If we’re not also striving to align ourselves with the yogic values, we're not being very good yogis, regardless of how deep our backbends are. 

But here’s the thing: most of us are out of alignment, and we don’t even know it. That's because we’re building our practice on a toxic foundation — literally! 

Most conventional yoga mats are produced from toxic and environmentally hazardous materials, like PVC. These mats only last us a handful of years, but they take lifetimes to decompose in landfills. And, since most yoga mats are mass produced in overseas factories costing less than a few dollars to make, the end retailers are making huge profits off our practice. 

That’s why we’re on a mission. We want to help our community practice better yoga by making yoga accessories that are more, well... yogic. From the sourcing of raw materials to the final package that arrives on your doorstep, we focus on sustainability, quality, and transparency. We call this our Conscious Supply Chain. And as yogis ourselves, we promise to never compromise on performance or style.
